About Church View

Location

The apartment is in the old Free Church of Scotland building, built in 1845 and converted to its present use in 1996. In a central position in the village, and fifty yards from the waterfront, all three village hotels are within two minutes walk.

Inside

The apartment is on two floors. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor.
  • Two double bedrooms. (There is a picture in Facilities)
  • A bedroom with twin bunk beds (top and bottom).
  • A bathroom with bath and shower
Upstairs, the lounge cum dining room is spacious and has views over the village and the loch from the large church window. Adjacent is the fully-equipped kitchen.

Suitability

The compact size of the apartment lends itself to occupation by either one or two couples, or a family of three or four. There is space for six persons but it will feel a little crowded when all bedrooms are fully occupied.

Please note

  • due to the steep stairway, we regret that children under five years are not accepted
  • non-smokers only
  • sorry, no pets

Disruption

in 1843, the Disruption split the Church of Scotland. In common with the rest of the Highlands, almost the entire congregration of Plockton moved over to the Free Church.
